The Guards Division Corps of Drums Association
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
Colonel in Chief
The Drums of the Guards Division
Corps of Drums Association
The Guards Division consists of seven
Regiments hence the Divisional motto
‘Septem Juncta in Uno’ (seven joined
in one). Of these only the five Regiments
of Foot Guards have Corps of Drums, they
are, in order of seniority

The Grenadier Guards
The Coldstream Guards
The Scots Guards
The Irish Guards
The Welsh Guards

Her Majesty is the Colonel in Chief of all
The Regiments that comprise her Household
Division which also includes The Life Guards
and The Blues and Royals (formerly The
Royal Horse Guards and The 1st. Royal
Dragoons).

The Corps of Drums
The Corps meets at the Grenadier Guards Club,
Windsor on the second Sunday of the month
commencing at 1030 hrs. We would welcome
all ex Drummers irrespective of their Regiment
or Corps who wish to join us and to help keep
this traditional musical skill alive. Sadly many
Regiments have disbanded of recent years as
the Army has shrunk, and the Corps of Drums
and Regimental Bands have often been the first
victim of the many cuts in defence spending. It
is for this reason that we have formed the
Association to keep these traditions alive.
